“⭐ 1 Star Extremely disappointing experience – serious lack of communication, follow-up and accountability Our experience with Pinnacle Finance has been extremely disappointing, particularly considering that we trusted them with such an important financial matter. During our original mortgage and property purchase process, we repeatedly struggled to get clear communication and updates. Calls and messages were not consistently answered or followed up, and we were left without clear information about when our property would actually complete. Because of the uncertainty and lack of proper coordination, we ended up having to pay an additional month’s rent. Unfortunately, when our mortgage renewal came around, we decided to give Pinnacle Finance another opportunity. We provided the documents they requested and relied on them to manage the process properly. The same problems happened again. After collecting all the required documents, there was little meaningful communication or follow-up. At one stage, we were told that the necessary work had been completed, only to be told approximately a week later that it had actually not been completed. This is extremely concerning when dealing with a time-sensitive mortgage renewal. We were repeatedly left having to chase for updates and find out for ourselves what had and had not been done. The lack of proper coordination also affected the progress of matters with the lender. Eventually, because we could no longer rely on the process being handled properly, we had to approach someone else to arrange our mortgage. The biggest issue is not that mortgage processes can sometimes take time. We completely understand that lenders, solicitors and other third parties can cause delays. The problem is the lack of communication, lack of follow-up, inaccurate updates and lack of ownership of the case. If a customer provides all the requested documents and relies on a professional mortgage adviser to manage the process, they should not have to repeatedly chase the adviser just to find out whether basic tasks have actually been completed. For us, this was not simply poor customer service. It resulted in unnecessary stress, delays and financial consequences, including additional rental costs and issues surrounding the mortgage renewal. What makes this particularly disappointing is that these problems happened more than once. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering using a mortgage broker asks very clear questions about who will actually manage their case, how frequently they will receive updates, and what happens if there is a delay. Our personal experience with Pinnacle Finance has unfortunately been one of poor communication, inadequate follow-up and insufficient accountability. I hope the company takes this feedback seriously and reviews how customer cases are being managed, because customers dealing with something as important as a mortgage deserve clear communication and reliable follow-up throughout the process.”
